How to replace a Bushnell rangefinder battery
Bushnell’s Tour V5 and V5 Shift support pages describe the procedure; it applies to the whole Tour and Pro laser line.
- Find the cap. On Tour models it sits on top near the eyepiece. Turn it counterclockwise; the slot takes a coin.
- Remove the plastic disc on a new unit. Bushnell ships the CR2 with an insulating disc; its first setup step is to open the cover and remove it.
- Insert the CR2 with the positive (+) end facing out, or as the diagram inside the cap shows. Backwards is the most common reason a fresh battery “does not work”.
- Screw the cap back on snug, not tight. The threads are plastic; over-tightening is how caps strip.

Do not use a rechargeable CR2 in a Bushnell
